Hyatt Pune Appoints Glen D’Souza as General Manager

Hyatt Pune has named Glen D’Souza as its new General Manager, effective January 2026. The appointment brings an accomplished hospitality leader to the property, with over two decades of international experience across hotel operations, pre-openings, and multi-brand leadership.

Leadership Focus at Hyatt Pune

In his new role, Glen will be responsible for overall hotel performance, including operations, team leadership, guest experience, and strategic positioning. His mandate centres on reinforcing Hyatt Pune’s appeal to both business and leisure travellers, while further strengthening its dining and social offerings within the city’s competitive hospitality landscape.

A key focus area under his leadership will be experience-led hospitality—balancing operational excellence with intuitive service delivery, team engagement, and meaningful guest connections.

Pre-Opening Experience at Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata

Prior to this appointment, Glen served as Pre-Opening General Manager at Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata. He played a pivotal role in steering the hotel through its launch phase, establishing its operational framework, and developing its food and beverage concepts. During 2025, the property earned multiple industry recognitions, particularly for its positioning as a lifestyle-driven destination.

Extensive Global Career with Marriott International

Before joining Hyatt, Glen spent more than 20 years with Marriott International, holding senior leadership roles across Hong Kong, Doha, and Abu Dhabi. His career includes involvement in seven hotel pre-openings and exposure to six brands spanning the Luxury, Premium, Extended Stay, and Select segments. This diverse experience has shaped his strong understanding of brand standards, guest expectations, and market-driven growth strategies.
