Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Appoints Nikhil Sharma as Area Director, Eurasia Region

WYNDHAM HOTELS & Resorts appointed Nikhil Sharma to the role of Area Director for the Eurasia region. Nikhil will have a full management remit encompassing franchise operations support, regional sales, revenue management services, while also steering the marketing strategy for the region.

Supported by a strong regional team, Nikhil will be responsible for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ growing presence of over 40 hotels and 4,000 rooms across the Indian sub-continent and will be instrumental in working towards further enhancing contribution and revenue performance, whilst also overseeing continued brand engagement and high-quality standards. He will be based in Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ corporate offices in Gurgaon, India.

Nikhil Sharma brings almost two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, having worked for major players in the region across strategy and planning, business development, revenue management and distribution. He recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Ginger Hotels, where he led the company’s operations, growth portfolio, as well as it's digital and loyalty strategy. He was also amongst one of the first core team members at The Lemon Tree Hotels and was instrumental in its growth.

Nikhil holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Pusa, New Delhi and certification from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. He has collaborated with many high profile industry organisations, serving as Chair and Convener for Skills and Entrepreneurship, Confederation of Indian Industry, Delhi State Council, and the Steering committee of Confederation of Indian Industry.
