NATIONAL REPORT—Hotels in development, and soon to open, on the West Coast include a Westin resort near Disneyland, the first Margaritaville on the West Coast and more.

Westin Anaheim Resort
The Westin Anaheim Resort, situated within the Anaheim Resort District, is expected to open in October. Featuring a modern design that was inspired by Anaheim’s historic orange grove roots before Disneyland opened in 1955, the hotel will include 618 guestrooms and suites, including a 2,000-sq.-ft. Presidential Suite overlooking Disneyland Resort.

The resort will offer more than 47,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting and event spaces, including the more than 16,000-sq.-ft. Anabella Ballroom, 23 event rooms and 18 breakout rooms, as well as seven F&B concepts including the signature three-meal restaurant Tangerine Room and Rise Rooftop Lounge, the city’s only guests-only rooftop bar, according to the resort.

Other amenities will include a ground-level, outdoor swimming pool with luxury cabanas and Bella’s Splash Pool Bar, and the 24-hour, 3,600-sq.-ft. WestinWorkout Fitness Center.

Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs
Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs, the first property for the brand on the West Coast, is expected to open this fall. A renovation and conversion of the former Riviera Palm Springs, the property will continue to be managed by Davidson Hotels & Resorts.

The resort will include 398 rooms, multiple Margaritaville-inspired dining options with indoor and outdoor seating, a St. Somewhere Spa, all-new family-oriented programming and more than 40,000-sq.-ft. combined wedding, meeting and event space.

The property was reimagined by McBride Design and will combine the relaxed, mid-century Palm Springs aesthetic with Margaritaville’s casual-luxe island feel, according to the brand. Guestrooms and suites will offer panoramic views of Palm Springs mountains and the resort grounds from private terraces and patios.

Lotte Hotel Seattle
Lotte Hotels & Resorts’ newest hotel and third property in the U.S., Lotte Hotel Seattle, is expected to open on Sept. 24 in Seattle’s downtown business district. Making up the facade and event spaces of the 189-room hotel is The Sanctuary, the nation’s oldest Beaux-style architectural building, which was founded in 1908 and previously served as America’s first United Methodist Church. Emerging from The Sanctuary is a 44-story tower, in which the first 16 floors encompass the remainder of the hotel’s offerings.

All of the 189 guestrooms, including 33 suites, offer views of Seattle’s skyline with a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. The guestrooms will feature a midcentury-modern design, inspired by Seattle’s natural landscape and the creative and contemporary nature of the city, according to the brand.

Also on property is Le Spa at Lotte Hotel Seattle, which will occupy the third floor and offer a menu of signature massages, facials and body treatments. Le Spa will launch in partnership with spa brand Biologique Recherche.
