Tis the season for really over-the-top holiday decorations. While it's super fun to see what people do around their homes (and on their lawns), those lights and garlands are small potatoes compared to what a department store or luxury hotel can come up with. This year, the Savoy Hotel, one of London's most glamorous hotels, worked with the LEGO group to install some Christmas models, and you've got to check them out.

Until January 3rd, Savoy guests are treated to 12 holiday installations composed entirely of LEGO bricks. These colorful statues were brought in to remix The Twelve Days of Christmas to become The Twelve Rebuilds of Christmas. Each vignette represents a line from the classic song, but get this: It's reimagined through the eyes of a child. So on the first day of Christmas, instead of "a partridge in a pear tree," LEGO brought in a dragon-shaped Christmas tree. The point of the display is to show how kids might interpret the lyrics and how the imagination is truly limitless. Cute!

These statues are all a part of LEGO's "Rebuild the world" campaign, in which they're tapping kids and adults to get those creative juices flowing. "The campaign intends to nurture the belief that every child is born with incredible creative problem-solving capabilities," according to the Savoy, and "...inspire people to champion the importance of creativity as a key 21st century skill." Savoy guests can also expect to see a reimagined mode of transport for Santa Claus, a princess rocket castle, and this tea-drinking lion. Perhaps modeled after ten lords-a-leaping?

From the looks of their Instagram account, it seems the Savoy will be posting a photo of each installation as we count down to Christmas, so keep your eyes peeled. The digital peek means you don't have to hop a flight to London town... but the Savoy's super-rare sustainable bedding made of Yak fibers is another reason to make the trip, for sure.
