St Giles Hotel Group has announced the reopening of its central London hotel property, St Giles London, after it was closed to customers for nearly five months.

As part of the reopening, the hotel group has also announced the launch of its new and “comprehensive” Stay Safe, Stay St Giles programme.

According to the group, it is the evolution of its commitment to “prioritizing and protecting the health, safety and well-being of its staff, guests, partners and the overall community”.

It comes as the group said it understood the need for furthering safeguards following the pandemic.

Its latest programme was formed after conducting a “thorough” review of its existing protocols and procedures to comply with government directives and recommendations from health organisations in the cities where it operates.

It was designed to “ensure that all members of the St Giles Family can be confident with the elevated level of safety measures underway at its hotels to enjoy the best St Giles experience”.

In addition, St Giles London has been accredited with the ‘We’re Good to Go’ UK industry standard mark, meaning it has followed government and industry guidelines to prepare for its reopening, with a risk assessment and process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.

Abigail Tan, CEO at St Giles Hotel Group, said: “We are excited that our doors at St Giles London hotel are open once again. As our longest operating property, with over 25 years in the heart of London, it was heartbreaking when we had to temporarily close.

“We’ve truly missed our St Giles Family, from our guests to our staff, and are happy to be together again. We take safety and well-being seriously at St Giles and have dedicated months to the development and implementation of our Stay Safe, Stay St Giles programme to ensure an optimum guest experience and working environment for all.”
