COMING ALL the way from Italy, Chef Lorenzo Stelzer is curating “An Italian November to Remember” at Caprese from five to 30 November 2019.

The 26-day food festival will introduce connoisseurs to the delectable fresh pasta, grilled meats, hearty vegetable dishes and seafood specialities for which Italy is known. Chef Lorenzo will be in residence at Caprese for four weeks, offering an exclusive à la carte menu, wine-paired dinners, cartes du jour and culinary lessons.

With more than 18 years at the helm of some of the world’s premier restaurant and hotel kitchens, Chef Lorenzo has worked in Italy, Switzerland and Thailand. The Trento-born chef first recognised his passion for cooking while working in the hotel industry in his home country. Fuelled by an appetite to succeed in the culinary world, Chef Lorenzo began refining his skills alongside Alfredo Chiocchetti, at the Michelin-starred restaurant Scrigno del Duomo. His culinary training and pursuits have sent him to renowned Michelin-starred restaurants Malga Panna in Moena as well as Osteria a Le Due Spade, before moving to Thailand to join Anantara Layan Phuket Resort.

The specially curated menu will feature signature dishes such as Pan-seared Scallops in celery cream, Herb Pappardelle with wild lamb confit, Ravioli filled with beetroot on buttered baby spinach, Risotto all’ Amatriciana, Roast free-range baby chicken with paprika, and Acqua Pazza sea bass, to name a few.
