Six Senses’ plan to enter Switzerland by opening a stylish ski resort, featuring 47 rooms and suites alongside 17 residential units, has been crowned our latest Project of the Week.

Situated in the canton of Valais, the new Six Senses Crans-Montana will benefit from its position in one of Switzerland’s most prominent ski areas.

A landmark development for the luxury hotel brand

In partnership with project coordinator and investor representative 1875 Finance, Six Senses’ ambition to create its first property in Switzerland is rapidly becoming a reality. The forthcoming property is being designed by AW2 and JP Emery & Partners Architecture and is currently expected to complete in the first quarter of 2022.

The resort will comprise 47 guestrooms and suites, plus 17 Six Senses residential units available for purchase, 13 of which have a special Crans-Montana provision allowing them to be bought by foreigners as second homes.

In line with Six Senses’ focus on sustainability, this exciting development incorporates recycled, repurposed and local materials and finishes, from flooring to fabrics and millwork. Energy and water conservation, as well as efficient lighting, are all factored into the designers’ plans.

Showcasing Six Senses’ celebrated wellness offering

Here, both guests and residents will have access to luxury facilities including two restaurants, a sun terrace, a bar and retail space, along with the premium wellness offering that Six Senses is known for internationally.

Wellness facilities will include a 22,000 sq ft spa, which is to specialise in alpine treatments, as well as a gym and fitness studio, pool and suspended relaxation area. Catering for all guests, the spa will have a dedicated area for children’s and teen treatments.

Last but not least, this resort will boast ski-in, ski-out access, enabling guests to easily discover the spectacular surroundings for themselves.
