After a five-month renovation, the Sheraton Grand Salzburg shines once again.

From the entrance area to the suites, a lot has happened in the Sheraton Grand in Salzburg over the past five months.

We look more closely at what exactly has changed and how the hotel’s innovative mixed design reflects the famous Salzburg.
Mixed design with typical Salzburg charm

Its location right on the Mirabell Gardens and only a few steps from the House of Congress and Salzburg’s World Heritage old town make the Sheraton Grand Salzburg one of the city’s most conveniently located hotels.

In order to give this property a makeover while at the same time maintaining its special atmosphere, the 310-square meter lobby and 29 rooms were modernized and redesigned.

Today, an elegant checker-board patterned marble floor, characteristic red and green Loden fabrics and cosy club furniture convey an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere in the entrance hall.

The lobby was extended with a spacious library with wood-panelled walls, fireplaces and secluded seating niches.

Right next door, the new Boardroom and a bright glass-fronted conference room offer private spaces for meetings and presentations.
Renovated rooms with modern comforts

On the first floor, two new suites have been created, which, thanks to their extensive facilities, are also ideal for families and long-stay guests. When both suites are connected, they create Salzburg’s largest suite sprawling over 150 square meters.

On the fourth floor, 29 rooms were redesigned. Elegant oak wood floors, custom-made wooden furniture and the Salzburg colours red and beige warmly welcome guests. Modern bathrooms with rain showers complete the new concept.
Further eye-catching renovation projects in the DACH area

The latest report from TOPHOTELPROJECTS highlights several other significant renovation projects.

Among them is the Almanac Hotel in Vienna, which is to be completely renovated and rebuilt by mid-2020. The hotel will get new restaurants and the newly designed rooms and suites will be equipped with the latest technology.

The Palace Hotel in Lucerne, Switzerland will also get a generous facelift. By the autumn of 2020, all rooms will be renovated, and three new restaurants will be opened.

Data also shows that Sheraton is not only investing in Salzburg but is also revamping its property at Frankfurt Airport. The Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel and Conference Center is undergoing extensive modernization and will also receive a new Sheraton Club.
