Mövenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate Dubai has appointed Nachwan Koukach as its executive chef.

The Syrian-national will oversee 95 other chefs and staff, along with the operation of the hotel's eight F&B venues. These include eateries such as Al Bahou, where Koukach will work to provide buffets, in-room dining and restaurant services.

He has previously held culinary positions at Burj Al Arab, The Ritz-Carlton in Bahrain, The Westin Mina Seyahi, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, and has been with Mövenpick for more than nine years in a number of roles. He has more than 19 years' experience.
