Royal Penthouse debuts as one of the largest and most luxurious suites in Geneva.
The Mandarin Oriental Geneva has launched its new signature suite, the Royal Penthouse, adding to the city’s stock of luxurious hotel offerings.
We take a look inside this stunning new rooftop apartment.
The pinnacle of luxury at Mandarin Oriental Geneva
The Swiss city of Geneva just got even more luxurious, with the addition of a new royal suite at the Mandarin Oriental Geneva.
The Royal Penthouse boasts a generous 325m2 of space, as well as a 175m2 outdoor roof terrace with views of the city, the river and the imposing mountains beyond.
This penthouse could well be considered one of the most luxurious hotel offerings in this already elegant city, and it also bears the distinction of being one of the largest suites on offer in Geneva.
Located on the hotel’s 7th floor, the suite can also be combined with the Royal Suite downstairs, to form the Imperial Residence, a six-bedroom luxury abode spread over 577m2.
Stunning design creates a lush haven
At the helm of this oasis in Geneva is Hong Kong and Bangkok-based design firm BUZ Design.
With extensive experience in hospitality interiors, including previous work for Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Shanghai, Pudong, Singapore and Macau, BUZ knew exactly the direction it wanted to take for the Royal Penthouse.
The suite has been divided into four different areas, each representing a different season in the choice of colour palette. The master bedroom reflects spring, blue tones in the carpets reminiscent of lakes and mountains, while yellows recall tulips and other flowers.
Living areas are awash with the hues of autumn, while winter has come to the entertainment room in the form of cool and icy colours, and finally, a bright summery palette is employed in the second and third bedrooms.
The penthouse is accessible via a private lift, and the open plan suite is flooded with daylight through the generous fenestration that affords guests expansive vistas to the outside.
This suite also benefits from its very own private hammam, separate living and dining areas, entertainment room and a lush, peaceful terrace. A dedicated chef is also on hand to prepare delicious gourmet meals at the guests’ request.
“Our Royal Penthouse is a wonderful addition to Geneva’s luxury hotel scene. We are proud to add this contemporary suite, with its amazing view, to our collection of signature suites,” said David Collas, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Geneva.
