Jet2holidays has expanded its presence in Mykonos for summer 2020, by adding new properties to its portfolio of hotels just weeks after announcing its operation to the island. It takes the total number of hotels now on sale to more than 30, giving holidaymakers even greater choice.

In November last year, the package holiday specialist announced that it will operate to the Cycladic island from Manchester and London Stansted Airports for the first time this summer. With the addition of more hotel stock, it means holidaymakers have a wider selection of 2+ star to 5-star accommodation to choose from in the whitewashed villages of Agios Ioannis, Mykonos Town, Psarrou, Panormos, Tourlos and Platis Yialos.

The new announcement of expansion means the company will also operate award-winning holidays to Elia Beach and Ornos. Located in the south of the island, Ornos is a small fishing village and offers a family-friendly beach, as well as lots of restaurants. Two hotels have also been added from the VIBE by Jet2holidays collection, a new product targeting holidaymakers with a millennial mindset.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We have grown our presence in Mykonos by adding more hotel stock and increasing the choice of accommodation to holidaymakers looking to enjoy a getaway to the Cycladic island. We are confident that the island will be hugely popular with holidaymakers looking for a stunning escape this summer.”
