A global hospitality chain is to debut in Ireland in the coming months with the rebrand of The Marker Hotel in Dublin.

The hotel on the Docklands comprises 187 rooms over six floors, as well as 18 executive rooms and eight event and meeting facilities. It is owned by Deka Immobilien.

"We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our luxury Anantara brand into north west Europe in the fair city of Dublin," said Dillip  Rajakarier, chief executive of Minor Hotels, parent company of Anantara.

"The Marker Hotel is already known as one of the city’s leading hotels and bringing the reputation and luxury touch points of Anantara to the property will further elevate the guest  experience."

Anantara is operated by NH Hotel Group in Europe. Pinsent Masons advised NH.

The Dublin site will be the third Anantara in Europe, joining Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort in Portugal and the Anantara Villa Padierna Palace in Marbella, Spain.
