As the winter season approaches, Gaylord Hotels are readying themselves for their most magical time of the year. Each holiday season, the brand’s five enormous convention center resorts transform into spirited celebrations of the Christmas season, complete with live shows, immersive attractions, and much more, providing memory-making experiences for guests at locations throughout the United States. Christmas at Gaylord Hotels, presented by Pepsi, begins in November and continues to January.

This year marks an exciting addition as the newest hotel in the brand, Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, wraps itself in its own set of holiday events for the first time, bringing the unique offerings to a whole new region.

“People across the country will now have easier access to come and experience Christmas at Gaylord Hotels,” said Mike Stengel, senior vice president of Gaylord Hotels. “We’ve been in the holiday business for more than 35 years and are excited for families and friends to see this year’s spectacular line-up of attractions, while celebrating the most magical season with us.”

Though each resort is filled with millions of lights, hundreds of trees, oversized décor and other striking symbols of Christmas, the most awe-inspiring holiday attraction at Gaylord Hotels is the award-winning, family-favorite ICE!, a nine-degree, walk-through winter wonderland of colorful ice sculptures and interactive ice slides. Master artisans travel from Harbin, China – the home of the world’s largest ice festival – to create the frozen attractions at each of the five resorts, all offering a different theme. Presented by DEI, this year ICE! will feature Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! at Gaylord National; A CHRISTMAS STORY™ at Gaylord Opryland; THE POLAR EXPRESS™ at Gaylord Palms; A Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles Schulz at Gaylord Texan; and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at Gaylord Rockies.

In addition to the signature attraction ICE!, each of the Gaylord Hotels features a diverse slate of holiday entertainment, providing all that is needed to check items off on a Christmastime wish list with the grand, curated events often being more than a year in the making. Long before the first guests experience the seasonal offerings found at the resorts near Dallas, Denver, Nashville, Orlando and Washington, D.C., the Gaylord Hotels special events teams spend months preparing for the holiday festivities with storyline development, show scripting, blueprint creation and talent selections. Their goal: make each new year even bigger and brighter than the one before to dazzle guests and become an annual tradition.

Light displays, stunning trees, musical acts, and visits and photos with Santa are complemented with a range of family-friendly activities. Among the incredible features that vary by location are gingerbread decorating, character breakfasts, escape rooms, snow tubing, ice skating, scavenger hunts and enchanting live performances including stage shows from world renowned Cirque Dreams. Each of the Gaylord Hotels boasts exclusive experiences and theming that reflects their locations’ local flavor, allowing guests to visit each of the five resorts and find something new at every stop!

Along with seasonal shows and attractions, the resorts feature extensive holiday shopping marts where Christmas décor, souvenirs and endless gift options await. Additionally, each offers an exclusive Build-A-Bear Workshop® experience where guests can make their very own furry winter friend—a cuddly, cute bear plush designed for Gaylord Hotels that can be personalized with cozy winter clothing and accessories.

Tickets and packages are now on sale for Christmas at Gaylord Hotels. Guests can plan their visits, find event dates and discover the full lineup of activities at each location on each resort’s holiday website:
