At Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC the safety and security of guests and employees is the top priority. On the evening of August 15, 2020, a fire started in the BOURBON STEAK kitchen. The Hotel is thankful for the DC Fire Department who were able to swiftly contain the fire and minimise damage to the other areas of the Hotel. Guest rooms, as well as the Spa and Fitness Center, were largely unaffected.
All BOURBON STEAK and Hotel guests and employees were safely evacuated from the building and the Hotel made prompt arrangements for alternative accommodation for its guests and patrons, including two wedding parties who were able to continue their happy celebration with only a slight delay at a neighbouring hotel.
Restoration works were immediately commenced to repair any water or smoke damage to the Hotel. As a result, the team Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC is excited to announced that it will reopen its doors to the public at 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 20, 2020.
“Our team has worked so hard to keep our Hotel open throughout this year. It was devastating to have to close due to a fire on Saturday night,” says Regional Vice President and General Manager David Bernand. “I am so proud of how the team has come together once again to accomplish the seemingly impossible and swiftly prepare the Hotel for reopening. We are grateful for the outpouring of support we have received from the community and look forward to welcoming our first guests back.”
While the Hotel is ready for reopening, BOURBON STEAK DC will remain closed for the immediate future for renovation and repairs.
