Showcasing the design expertise of Goddard Littlefair, the 2020-reopened Hilton Vienna Park is the focus of our latest TOPHOTELDESIGN exclusive.

This Hilton-branded hotel in the heart of the Austrian capital has benefitted from a wide-ranging overhaul.

A reflection of the city

Renowned design firm Goddard Littlefair successfully transformed Hilton Vienna Park, introducing interiors that reflect the historic grandeur of the city it’s in, and revamping the hotel’s guestrooms, event spaces and public areas. The 18-month multimillion-dollar renovation also involved adding 78 keys to the 15th floor, taking the total room count to 663.

Guests can now expect to see lots of custom rugs with geometric patterns reflecting Viennese culture, geometric screens transforming the flow of open space, warm colours and natural materials. Pendant lighting and bespoke furnishings enhance the overall character and feel, which is designed to instill a sense of place, with a colour scheme taking inspiration from natural elements to provide a link to the natural world.

Heritage-inspired detail

The public areas here offer an upscale but relaxed experience both by day and night. Geometric shapes feature throughout the dining area and bold patterns distinguish the lobby, with theatrical design details in each area.

Elsewhere, the newly decorated guestrooms, including the presidential suites, provide cosy retreats with floor-to-ceiling windows boosting their light and airy feel, and decorative details fitting in with the rest of the renovation’s concept.

Several companies contributed to the fittings and furnishings featured throughout the property, including Forest Group, which supplied the window coverings.
