Commercial Collective, CBRE and Moore & Moore Real Estate have begun the marketing campaigns for three landmark buildings at the heart of Newcastle in the Clarendon Hotel, the Fred Ash building and the Bennett building on Hunter Street.

Commercial Collective's Adam Leacy said they are being offered in-one-line or individually with expressions of interest for the sale or lease of the Fred Ash building and the sale of the Bennett building and Clarendon Hotel closing November 28.

He was anticipating interest to come from a combination of investors and potential long-term developers. A price guide has not been disclosed.

West End Site

Knight Frank have commenced marketing a sizeable development site at Dairy Farmers Corner.

Located at 924 Hunter Street and 4 Tighe Stret in Newcastle West, the property has a long history as a major dairy processing facility to more recent use as a new vehicle sales and service centre.

The property comprises two parcels with a combined area of approximately 5130 square metres and Knight Frank's Ross Cooper and Brent Sinclair said it provided an opportunity to create a substantial high-rise mixed use development with a 90 metre height limit, B3 Commercial Core zoning and a Floor to Space Ratio of up to 8:1.

It is located about 200 metres from the transport interchange.
