With five properties soon to be open, hospitality group Central Hotels aims to expand its presence in the United Arab Emirates focussing on Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Al Ain and in the GCC targeting Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain.

Group general manager, Ammar Kanaan has focused on sustainable initiatives for the company. For instance, he introduced a paperless system by using a tablet in all guest rooms. Through this initiative, guests can access room service, housekeeping, maintenance and the front desk electronically.

Kanaan also accomplished the opening of Canal & Royal Central last year with a minimal pre-opening budget and a positive GOP in the second month.

The group also has five properties in the pipeline that are all set to operate in Dubai. They are the Diamond Central at Business Bay, C Central at The Palm Jumeirah, Island Central at Deira Island, Central Houses at Bur Dubai and the Grand Central Suites at Media City.
